The developers of the historic Missoula Merc search for a team of tenants to rent out spaces for the building.

In October we found out a team of developers out of Reno, Nevada were buying the Merc. Since the sale, the two business partners have been mapping out a plan to redevelop and restore the building, which has been empty for more than four years.

They say they’re already talking with tenants, and hope to have a wide range of local businesses, bars, restaurants and breweries take over the space. They’re goal is to work as quickly as possible.

“We made significant progress, much more than when we made our game plan and thought where we’d be at this point and where we actually are. We’re way ahead of where we thought we’d be, so we’re pretty excited about that,” said Dario Passalalpi, the Design & Construction Management of the project.

The developers hope to start leasing by the summer. They say the overall project could take anywhere from 15 to 18 months in total.
